This is…..exciting??
So finally we are getting somewhere in this book……kindof. The old man hooks a fish. Is this a huge deal or something? I thought he was “the best” fisherman ever, so wouldn’t that mean he would’ve already caught tons of fish? Why is this one any different? Do we even know this old man’s name yet? Hmphf. Well anyway, there was one line that stood out from all the others. You know me, I love those lame poetic and pretty sentences so here’s one for you that I liked.
“The myriad flecks of the plankton were annulled now by the high sun and it was only the great deep prisms in the blue water that the old man saw now with his lines going straight down into the water that was a mile deep.”
I love how tangible and picturesque this sentence is. It makes me think of this prism that my dad gave me when I was twelve. I always said my favorite color was rainbow, so he told me that it had all my favorite colors in it if I held it up to the light and turned it in several directions.

C’ya guys later!

I like your story about the rainbow. Your dad would probably be happy to know that you remember it and have repeated it.
